Onion, finely chopped

teasp Dried Mixed Herbs
Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, gas mark 6. Roll out the pastry to 12mm/ 1/4 inch and use to line an 18cm/7inch flan tin.
Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the onion and bacon and fry until golden.
In a bowl, mix together the sausage meat, onion, bacon, herbs, egg, salt and pepper. Spread this mixture over the pastry
case then bake for 15 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 170C, 325F, Gas mark 3 and continue to cook for a
further 20-25 minutes. Serve immediately.
