Molasses Braised Rabbit HT MC 80mins
Serves 4 Hot Game Main Course Gluten Wheat Dairy free Eggless
Ingredients 675g/1˝lbs Rabbit Pieces Salt and Black Pepper 1 Onion, finely chopped 2 Garlic Cloves, crushed 60ml/2fl.oz. Black Treacle or Dark Molasses 180ml/6fl.oz. Water 3 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 190C, 375F, Gas Mark 5. Season the rabbit with salt and pepper and place in an ovenproof casserole together with the onion and garlic.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the treacle, water and vinegar then pour over the rabbit.
3. Cover and cook for about 1 hour, basting from time to time.
