Cherry and Walnut Salad Veg CD ACC English 20mins
Serves 6 Cold Vegetarian Vegan Vegetables Fruit Nuts Accompaniment Salads Gluten Wheat Dairy Free Eggless England British Europe
Ingredients 675g/1½ lb Fresh Cherries, halved and stoned 2 Cos lettuces, washed and torn into pieces 2 Oranges, peeled and thinly Sliced 100g/4oz Chopped Walnuts
Instructions
1. In a bowl, toss the cherries and walnuts in a little vinaigrette dressing and set aside.
2. Arrange the lettuce leaves in a wide shallow dish and place the orange slices on the top.
3. Pile the cherry and walnut mixture in the centre of the dish. Serve immediately as a side salad to accompany pork, ham or poultry.
N.B. You can also use an ordinary oil and vinegar vinaigrette
