Tomato and Basil Salad Veg CD ACC 30mins Serves 4 Cold Vegetarian Vegan Vegetables Herbs Salads Accompaniments healthy Eating Gluten Wheat Dairy Free Eggless
Ingredients: 450g/1 lb Firm Tomatoes ½ teasp Sea Salt 1 Clove Garlic, crushed 8 Fresh Basil leaves ½ teasp Fresh Oregano 4 tbsp Olive Oil Freshly ground Black Pepper
Instructions
1. Wash and dry the tomatoes then slice them into 6mm/ ¼ inch slices. Place on a plate and sprinkle with salt. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
2. Rub the inside of a salad bowl with the garlic.
3. Remove the tomatoes from the fridge and drain any excess liquid. Place in the salad bowl and sprinkle with the basil, oregano, oil and pepper. Toss lightly then cover and chill for 15 minutes before serving.
