Ingredients
200g/7oz fresh or frozen Lingonberries
100g/4oz Caster Sugar
Instructions
1. Place the berries and sugar in a large mixing bowl and mix gently using a
metal spoon or spatula. Continue mixing for a few minutes, avoiding crushing the
berries, until the sugar begins to melt.
2. Leave to stand for 2 hours at room temperature, until the sugar has
completely dissolved, stirring one in a while.
3. Transfer to clean sterilized jars, close with sterilized lids and store in
the refrigerator.
Serve as an accompaniment to meat or game dishes such as reindeer stew. They can
also be used in desserts and pies or as topping on porridges.
