Makes 600ml/20fl.oz. Hot Cold Alcohol Vegetables Barbecue Savoury Sauces Accompaniment Condiment

2. Add the treacle, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, pepper, lemon juice, zest, soy sauce, paprika, and bourbon to the onions, mix well, bring to the boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring from time to time.
3. Serve hot or cold as a sauce. Can also be used to baste meat or chicken.
