Ginger Dipping Sauce   CD  ACC  Vietnamese  10mins


Vietnamese name: Nuoc Cham Gung

Makes approx 120ml/4fl.oz.  Cold  Sauce  Accompaniment  Vietnam  Asia

2 Garlic Cloves, crushed 

1-1/2 tbsp Sugar 

1 Chili Pepper, deseeded and finely chopped
1 tbsp freshly grated Ginger Root

3 tbsp Lime Juice

3-1/2 tbsp Fish Sauce  (nuoc mam) 



1. Place the garlic, sugar, chili and ginger in a small bowl or mortar and mix well, crushing the mixture to a paste.

2. Add the lime juice and fish sauce and stir to blend thoroughly. Serve at room temperature.
