Beer Sauce for Fish HT ACC 25mins Hot Alcohol Vegetables Herbs Spices Savoury Sauces AccompanimentIngredients 500ml/1pt Beer 1 teasp Vinegar 1 teasp Brown sugar 2 tbsp Onion, finely chopped 1 clove Garlic 1 Bay leaf 1 teasp Butter Salt & Pepper Cinnamon to taste 2 tbsp Cornflour Instructions 1. Put the beer into a saucepan together with the vinegar, brown sugar, onion, garlic, bay leaf, butter and season with salt, pepper and cinnamon. 2. Bring to the boil then simmer for 15 minutes. Strain. 3. Mix the cornflour with a little water to form a paste and add to the sauce. Stir until thickened. Serve hot with baked fish.
