Ingredients:

The Juice and grated rind of 2 Lemons

The Juice and grated rind of 2 Oranges

Water

1 tbsp Cornflour

100g/4oz Sugar

 

Instructions

 

1. Mix together the orange and lemon juices and make up to300ml/10 fl.oz with water. Place in a saucepan, reserving 1 tablespoon, together with the sugar and cook until the sugar has dissolved, stirring all the time.

 

2. In a measuring jug or large bowl, add the cornflour to the reserved juice and mix well. Then add the hot juice, stirring.

 

3. Return to the saucepan and cook gently until the sauce thickens and becomes clear.

 

4. To serve - stir in the grated lemon and orange rind, pour into a sauceboat and serve with steamed puddings.
