Gooseberry Sauce for Mackerel HT ACC 15mins Hot Fruit Savoury Sauces Accompaniment Gluten Wheat Free EgglessIngredients 200g/8 oz gooseberries, topped and tailed 25g/1 oz Butter 25-50g/1-2 oz SugarInstructions 1. Place the fruit in a saucepan with as little water as possible, cover and cook over a medium heat, stirring from time to time until very soft, about 10 minutes. 2. Sieve or process in a blender until smooth then return to the saucepan over a low heat and gradually add the butter and sugar. Serve hot with fish.
