Baked Apples in Maple Syrup Hot Veg DP 55minsServes 4 Hot Fruit Vegetarian Vegan Dairy Gluten Wheat FreeIngredients: 4 large Baking Apples 2 tbsp Lemon Juice 240ml/8fl.oz. Apple Juice 50g/2oz Dried Raisins or Currants 120ml/4fl.oz. Maple Syrup Large pinch Ground Cloves (check ingredients label) Large pinch Ground Cinnamon (check ingredients label) Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 190C, 375F, Gas Mark 5. 2. Core the apples and stuff the cavities with the dried fruit. 3. Place the apples upright in a deepish oven-proof baking dish. 4. In a small mixing bowl, combine lemon and apple juice with the spices and maple syrup and mix well. Pour over the apples and bake, uncovered, for 40-45 minutes, basting frequently. Serve hot.
