Baked Sliced Potatoes with Bacon   HT  ACC  Welsh  60mins

 

Welsh Name:  Tatws Rhost

Serves 4   Hot  Pork  Vegetables  Accompaniment  Gluten Wheat Dairy free  Eggless  Wales  British  Europe


Ingredients

675g/1˝lb Potatoes , peeled and sliced
8 Spring Onions, sliced
4 Rashers of Bacon
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper


Instructions


1. Preheat the oven to 190C, 375F, Gas Mark 5 and grease an ovenproof casserole dish.

 

2.  Place the sliced potatoes in layers in the casserole dish, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper, then sprinkle the sliced spring onions evenly over the top.

3. Lay the thick bacon rashers on top, add a little water, cover with aluminium foil and bake for 45 minutes. Serve hot
