Breadfruit Fries    Veg  HT  ACC  Tahitian  35mins plus cooling

 

 

Serves 4   Hot  Vegetarian  Vegan  Vegetables  Accompaniment   Dairy Wheat Gluten Free  Eggless  Tahiti  French Polynesia  Oceania

 

Ingredients

675g/1-1/2lb Hard Breadfruit, peeled

Salt

Water

Oil for deep frying

 

Instructions

 

1. Place the breadfruit in a large pan of boiling salted water,  reduce the heat a little and cook for 10-15 minutes.

 

2. Drain well and allow to cool.

 

3. Preheat the deep fryer to 180C/350F. Cut the breadfruit into thin slices the deep fry until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and serve immediately.
