Maple Butternut Squash Veg HT ACC 35mins
Serves 4 Hot Vegetarian Vegetables Accompaniment Gluten Wheat Free EgglessIngredients 675g/1 ½ lbs Butternut Squash 2 teaspoons melted Butter 1/4 teasp Ground Mace 1/4 teasp Ground Allspice 1 teasp Ground Cardamom 1 tbsp Maple Syrup Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Remove any seeds from the squash and peel then cut into 2 inch chunks.
2. Place in a steamer and cook for for 20 minutes or until tender.
3. Allow to cool slightly then transfer to a blender and add the remaining ingredients. Process to a smooth consistency.
4. Return to the pan and heat gently, stirring all the time until hot.
Great served as an accompaniment to meat dishes.
