Turnips, peeled and cut into 2.5cm/1-inch cubes
and Black Pepper
˝teasp Ground Cinnamon
chopped Parsley to garnish
Place the turnips in a saucepan, cover with cold salted water, bring to
the boil then reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes until just
tender. Drain well and pat dry with kitchen paper.
Heat the butter in a large frying pan until very hot, add the turnips and season
with salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
Sauté for 10 minutes, turning often,
until the turnips are golden brown on all sides.
To serve - transfer to a warmed serving dish and sprinkle
with parsley. Serve immediately.
