Braised Peas with Lettuce Veg HT ACC French 15mins Serves 4 Hot Vegetarian Vegetables Accompaniment Gluten Wheat free Eggless France Europe
Ingredients: 450g/1lb Frozen Peas 50g/2oz Butter 12 Button Onions, cooked 3 Lettuce Leaves, shredded 4 tbsp Strong fresh Vegetable or Chicken Stock Salt and Pepper 1 tbsp Sugar
Instructions
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat. Add the peas, cooked onions, shredded lettuce and stock. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
2. Cover the pan and simmer the vegetables gently for about 5 minutes.
3. Add the sugar, replace the lid and simmer for a further 5 minutes. Turn into a heated vegetable dish and serve immediately.
