Broccoli in White Wine Sauce Veg

Serves 4 Hot Vegetarian Vegan Vegetables Alcohol Accompaniment Dairy Gluten Wheat free Eggless
Ingredients: 675g/1½ lb Broccoli 2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 Garlic Clove, crushed
2 tbsp Cornflour 150ml/5fl.oz. White Wine (check manufacture) Salt and Pepper
¼ teasp Dried Mixed Herbs
Instructions
1. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized pieces, wash well then place in a pan of boiling and cook for 8 minutes.
2. Drain well, reserving 240ml/8fl.oz of the cooking liquor. Set aside.
3.
Heat
the oil in a saucepan then remove from the heat. Add the garlic and
cornflour and mix well.
4.
Gradually add the wine and reserved cooking liquor.
5.
Return the pan to a low heat and stir constantly until it thickens. Add the
herbs, salt and pepper and cook, stirring for a further 5 minutes.
6. Add the broccoli to the sauce and heat gently, mixing well, until heated through Serve immediately.
