Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas mark 6 and butter a shallow ovenproof
Soak the anchovies in cold water, then chop. Peel the potatoes, and cut into
sticks. Layer the dish with potatoes, anchovies and onions. Pour over the cream
and bake in a hot oven for 30 minutes.
Place under the grill to brown. Serve immediately.
